Delabole Methodist Church

Delabole church_edited.jpg

We are a hospitable and friendly Church - pleased to welcome all who enter our place of worship.

Sunday services usually begin at 11am and are a mixture of those taken by ministers, local preachers and the church fellowship.  We conclude with coffee, chat and usually laughter!

Rev Steve Swann is our minister as well as the Superintendent of our Methodist Circuit - the Camelford and Week St Mary Circuit.

We're pleased to provide a venue for a number of community and charity events - including a monthly lunch plus Coffee and Chat sessions where gifts are collected for the local Food Bank, and a Cake and Craft afternoon.   Our aim is to support local needs and charities with our talents, time and prayers.

We regularly worship with our Anglican friends from St John's Church, Delabole and members of our congregation are part of the ecumenical Open the Book team which visits the local Primary School each week.

The pictures below represent our history and show the pulpit fall and a china mug.  They remind us of the three large Methodist churches in our village (Pengelly, Wesley and Medrose) which came together in 1980.  The cupped hands represent our mission of caring and the ear of wheat signifies our prayer for the growth of the Kingdom of God.
