Week St Mary Methodist church meets in the recently refurbished chapel at the heart of the village. The building offers a commercial standard kitchen full AV equipment, full disaled access and is indeed compliant with all the highest standards required by current law.

This warm, comfortable and flexible accommodation enables the celebration of Messy Church, FAB, our monthly outreach breakfast club, and worship lunches as well as our regular traditional worship services.

Much of our contemporary and culturally friendly work is undertaken ecumenically with the Parish Church in the village, while each congregation still offers traditional worship in their own tradition.

In the new kitchen

On Sunday 23rd January last year we held our first 'Messy Church' with the help of our friends from the Parish Chgurch. About froty people - children, parents and grandparents, explored Creation thrpough a series of different crsaft activities. A time of interactive worship with story, puppets, song and prayer was followed by a 'Feast from the Garden of Eden'. A lot of fun and a lot of mess were enjoyed by all (even the vacuum cleaner wielding 'clearer-uppers'!

This was followed in March by 'All aboard the Ark' - discovering the story of Noah and God's big plan for the world, and in May by an exploration of Moses and God's 'Big Ten'. A year on Messy Church is one of our most most popular assets.

Last summer our children joined in the circuit Kids' Club 'Go for Gold' using the Olympic motif to explore the race of life and the great 'coach' Jesus. Next summer watch out for 'Space Academy'!

On Sunday April 28th  we will be holding our second Cafe church at 6.30pm. Come and experience a different sort of 'church'  - informal and relevant.
